Frequently asked questions
Is granola really healthy?
Granola can be a healthy option depending on the ingredients used. Traditionally, it contains whole grain oats, nuts, seeds and dried fruits that are rich in fiber, protein and healthy fats. Look for varieties with little or no added sugar and healthy oils.
What is the difference between muesli and granola?
Muesli is an uncooked mixture of cereal flakes, nuts, seeds and dried fruits. Granola, on the other hand, is baked and often contains honey or syrup and oil, which gives it its crunchy texture.
What do you do with granola?
Granola is often used as a breakfast ingredient, mixed with milk, yogurt or plant-based alternatives. It is also suitable as a topping for smoothie bowls, ice cream and fresh fruit or as a snack on the go.
Why isn't my granola crispy?
If your granola doesn't crisp up, it may be because the baking temperature is too low or it wasn't baked long enough. Too much moisture in the mixture can also prevent it from becoming crispy. Stir it regularly and let it cool completely after baking.
